Terms and Conditions

CLASS TIME

• Classes are expected to run between 2 to 3 hours long. These are feedback and discussion-based classes, so spend as much time on individual feedback as needed.

• Don’t just say “keep pushing” and move on, be descriptive with your feedback. The students expect to receive brutally honest feedback, so if they pitch something that sucks – tell them it sucks – and then figure out how they can fix it.

• All class sessions must be held at the school address unless you have obtained permission from Heather Vanisko to hold class offsite at your agency or another approved location.

• Instructors are required to take attendance and submit it through the shared ‘Student Attendance” Google Sheet. Attendance and class notes should be submitted prior to your next class.

MISSING CLASS

• Notify Heather of all class changes, cancellations, or tardiness as soon as possible by phone (609-273-1818) or email (heather@denveradschool.com).

• Do not assign a substitute instructor for any class without first receiving permission from Heather.

• If an instructor misses three or more classes during a term, or two or more classes within a four-week period, DAD has the option to terminate this agreement.

EMPLOYMENT AT WILL

• The above form shall not be construed as an employment contract obligating DAD (expressly or implicitly) to employ you for any specified period of time. Either party has the right to terminate the employment relationship at any time with or without cause.

• This agreement is for the current quarter and is not implied assurance of any future employment.

COMPENSATION

• Refer back to your email correspondence with Heather to confirm your pay rate. If you’re unsure, reach out to Heather.

• Payment will be made within a week after the quarter has concluded.

OTHER

• Do not accept compensation from any current or former students for any instruction or consultation, nor should you solicit students to hire yourself for any work, product, or service.

• Do not to assign students to produce work on behalf of your clients.

• Work made for class, lesson plans, presentations, handouts, etc. is Work Made For Hire within the meaning of the U.S. copyright laws and DAD has exclusive rights to display, copy or otherwise use the work and all derivatives.
